Licensure
Illinois agents can be licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation as a real estate professional in one of three ways:
• Leasing Agent: licensed only to participate in rental transactions
• Broker: licensed to participate in both rental and sale transactions
• Managing Broker: licensed to participate in both rental and sale transactions, as well as
manage other Leasing Agents and Brokers.
T. Nicholas Realty does not employ Leasing Agents, as part of what separates our brokers from the more than 16,000 agents in Chicago is an increased level of education and training.
