Other Chicago Buildings

The George Smith Memorial Building at 1439 South Michigan Avenue in the South Loop was developed as the Trevi Square Condominium Residences in 1995.

Designed by the architectural firm of Frost and Grainger, the building was completed in 1908 and is the oldest remaining structure in the St. Luke’s Hospital complex. Several buildings on the 1400 block of Indiana Avenue were also part of the Hospital’s presence in the community. In November 1982, the Hospital Complex - including the George Smith Memorial - were added to the Nation Register of Places in Illinois.
