Printers Row is an area that sits immediately south of The Loop. Once home to the city's printing and publishing industry, the area also included Dearborn Station -- which was once the city's largest passenger train hub.
Today's Printers Row is home to many condominium and apartment buildings, and the community provides easy access to those commuting to The Loop.
While Printers Row is officially described as extending from Congress St. to Polk St., we more broadly describe it on our website as extending closer to Roosevelt -- as many folks choosing to make their home in Chicago make the decision between "north of Roosevelt" (we call that entire area north toward Congress as "Printers Row") or "south of Roosevelt" (we refer to that entire area between Roosevelt and 24th as the "South Loop").
